Sammy Negash - Coach

 Sammy is a fast-rising coach who started young. His first coaching experience was when he was in year 12 at Avondale College, Auckland when he took the Junior Academy teams for two seasons. After the team showed much improvement in its second season, Sammy earned the school's Coach of the Year. 
 
 Upon leaving school, he began working as a coaching assistant for holiday program and after school classes and some players who took part in the FIFA U-17 World Cup in New Zealand. 
 
 In 2011, he worked in primary schools as a sports facilitator, while coaching and managing the interschools teams. In 2012, he joined former All Whites coach Kevin Fallon at Mt Albert Grammer School, Auckland where he coached the Academy teams in 2013/14 coaching the school's second team and helping coach the first XI. 
 
 In 2013, Sammy Coached Central Uniteds U-17 team at the Auckland City Youth. 
 
 Sammy Joined former Wellington Pheonix and All white Coach Ricki Herbert, where he was the Auckland Head Coach at the Ricki Herbert Football Academy.

 
Sammy also coaches the Ethopian team in the annual New Zealand Ethnic League competition, where in 2018 they were placed 2nd.

Training sessions now available.

Aspire Football Academy is now working with Blockhouse Bay Intermediate School offering the school development programme.
